My goal for when I revise this paper is to be more aware of global revisions I should be making. Global revisions are not something that was really brought to my attention in high school, so I feel that I can greatly improve on this aspect of revision. I hope to achieve this goal by asking my peers questions about any global revisions they think I should make after they have read my paper. I will see if they have any thoughts on my organization and quote placements. If they do, I will write them down and take them into consideration when editing my paper. I will also read my first draft and look specifically for any global revisions I think I should make. I will ask myself questions while reading to help myself determine if I need to make any global revisions. Some questions I will ask are, ‘Does this paragraph make sense here?’, ‘Does this quote need to be better integrated?’, and ‘Are my citations correct?’. The most challenging part about achieving my goal will be actually identifying the global revisions. Since my high school didn’t really focus on global revisions, identifying them and correctly fixing them will be hard for me.
