I think ePortfolio has a lot of potential and will be very useful to me. It provides us with a lot of ways to be creative and become more knowledgeable about technology and how to create and manage our own websites. Having a better understanding of how to create and manage our own website will be very helpful to many of us in our professional lives. It will also help us become better writers because we will have to post things like this often.

Although it has a lot of potential, the interface does have its downsides. We’re in the beginning stages of working with ePortfolio so it is confusing at times, but that will change after we work with the websites more. It also isn’t always a good way to get feedback on things like papers because, like we mentioned in class, there’s a lack of materiality that comes with doing things online. Even though it isn’t always the best way to give feedback to different kinds of writing, it does give people feedback that they wouldn’t necessarily get if we used pen and paper.  Someone might be more honest when giving feedback behind a screen, rather than giving it face to face. This interface could potentially give more honest feedback, which will really help everyone as writers and as reviewers.
